Are the cases made of real wood / marble?
--No. These are made from a high-tech painting process on the original steel, aluminum, and plastic cases. The result is astonishingly like real wood.
How are the painting done?
--We use a patent-pending process. It goes through the following steps: (1) The surface is cleaned and polished. (2) It is painted with a primary coating for maximum adhesion. (3) The pattern/image is painted onto the primary coating via a transfer process. (4) The surface is coated with a clear coating for protection purposes. (5) The finish is baked and cured for maximum strength.
We use the highest quality materials for the entire process. We have also engineered innovative devices to ensure the quality of the final results for each steps.
Is the paint scratch resistant?
--Yes. As scratch resistant as it can be. It is similar to some of the dashboard materials often used in high-end cars.
Can you offer customized painting color/patterns?
--Currently no. However, we have thousands of color patterns for you to choose from if you order large quantities of a minimum of 100 pieces each time. The lead time is six weeks from the time payment is received.
We may expand to custom painting in the future.
Where are your products made?
--Our products are designed and engineered in the USA. They are factory-produced in Asia.
Do you plan to offer matching drives and monitors?
--Yes, we plan to offer matching drives, drive bezels and monitors for our most popular colors/patterns. The drives will include floppy, CD-ROM, DVD, and CD-RW drives. Monitors will include 15" and 18" LCD and 17" CRT. Currently, there is no ETA on these products. Please visit our web site again for future updates.
Color matching for other external devices such as Digital Doc 5 will also be considered.
Since the basic cases we are offering have either the swinging or the sliding cover, color matching for the drives may not be that necessary since the drives will be hidden behind the covers most of the time.
Can you supply images of your products without the "CaseArts" watermark?
--Yes. Once you open an account with us, we'll send you such images if needed.
Can you offer the cases with side acrylic windows and/or fan grills?
--Yes. These are optional features you can specify in your quote request.
Can I get a Lian-Li PC690 Full-Tower Case in the redwood that is on the redwood hydraulic?
--Sorry, but no. Currently Lian-Li factory is too far away from our factory to produce these effects cost-effectively.
Is the LCD monitor actually from redwood or is just redwood varnish?
--It's a redwood-like finish. It looks and feels like redwood, but it's not red wood. If it's real red wood it would not have good enough thermal characteristics as a computer case. Besides, it may cost you an arm and a leg.
Ok. So I like the cases, how do I go about getting one? Also, how do I match bezels, monitor etc. ?
--Please visit our distributors if you are a reseller or a retailer if you are an end-user.
I saw only eight case designs/patterns on Directron.com's web site. Your site lists literally hundreds of different styles and cases. Is there somewhere else I can buy those other designs?
--They are coming. More resellers will carry our products. Directron.com should be carrying the Super-Flower designs soon. Most of the ones shown on our web site are for samples only at this time.
